In June of 2006 Mars Petcare US, a newly formed division of Mars Inc., acquired
General Steel Fabricators through the purchase of Doane Pet Care. This
acquisition provides Mars Petcare with one of the most extensive manufacturing
and distribution networks in the pet food industry. General Steel Fabricators
will continue to fulfill the companies need for steel products used in the pet
food industry.
